The majority of the trekking occurs in the “Paramo” life zone where the biological diversity is overwhelming. The occasional roughness of this environment - the cold wind and the humidity- is well compensated by the beauty of the landscape and the emotional feeling one experiences being in the Andes. Our camps are well equipped with dome tents and pads, dining tent, toilet tent and a kitchen tent with cooking and serving utensils. Horses carry the group’s gear from camp to camp. Our guides and cooks will make sure you have a comfortable journey. We have selected 2 areas for mountain trekking in Ecuador.
